The head of the faction "Block Poroshenko" Yury Lutsenko said that the decision about areas of Donbass, which will have a special status, submitted to Parliament by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, is based on the line of demarcation between Ukrainian security forces and militia in September last year.
He noted that the militia-controlled areas of Donbass will have a special status, when Ukrainian flags are risen there.
"Accurate map with a list of areas meets the demarcation line by September. Debaltsevo and about 120 kilometers from Mariupol will still be Ukrainian. The rest of the territory, with all of necessary conditions performed, can obtain a special status as a result of the local elections. But a Ukrainian flag, Ukrainian patrols and Ukrainian laws must be there to do this. When that happens, then the election will be there. Thus we emphasize our good will and unwillingness of terrorists to implement the Minsk Agreement "- "PolitNavigator" quoted his words.
It was reported earlier that Ukrainian President Poroshenko introduced the appropriate bill in the Verkhovna Rada.
Meanwhile, the official representative of the People's Republic of Donetsk in the Contact Group, Vice-Speaker of the DPR People's Council Denis Pushilin said that this bill is contrary to a range of measures to implement the Minsk agreements.
