Relations between Russia and the West may eventually warm up and Poland should be careful not to miss out on that, Roman Kuźniar, the Polish president’s foreign and security affairs advisor, told TVN25 channel on Friday.
“I think the thaw hasn’t come yet but some day it will… and Poland risks finding itself the only country in Europe to still have icy relations with Moscow. This is something we should have in mind,” Kuźniar added.
He mentioned the longtime western tradition of accommodating Moscow’s interest at the expense of its lesser partners.
In this case Poland could “easily become marginalized, that’s why we need to be more attentive to what other countries are doing,” Roman Kuźniar warned.
