KIEV, April 16 /TASS/. Murderers of Ukrainian journalist Sergey Sukhobok have been detained, Ukraine’s Interior Ministry press service reported on Thursday.

Sukhobok, a native of Ukraine’s Donbas region and a co-founder of the ProUA Internet publication, was killed in Kiev on the night from April 12 to 13. He started his career of a journalist in 1998 working as an observer for the Business Donbas weekly. He has been a freelance journalist in recent years.

"Police found the murder suspects by their place of residence," law enforcers said.

Prosecutors have initiated criminal proceedings on charges of intentionally causing heavy bodily harm that can be punishable by eight years in prison. Earlier, the Interior Department of the Kiev region said it had no information on Sergei Sukhobok’s murder.
