PARIS, June 10 /TASS/. Kiev’s contradictory policy and attempts to erode the Minsk agreements are the main obstacle to their active implementation, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin told journalists after a meeting of the "Normandy Four" political directors on Wednesday.

"It is impossible to say that the agreements are being actively implemented. Unfortunately, too many obstacles are being erected by Kiev’s contradictory policy and attempts to erode the agreements in every possible way," Karasin said.

"In fact, the purpose for our gathering here is to give additional impetus to discussions of issues linked to de-escalation of tensions on the ground and the need to carry out political reforms, including the constitutional process, and preparations for the local elections," the Russian diplomat stressed.

"We also discussed the humanitarian bloc, which includes problems linked to the ongoing blockade of the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Luhansk People’s Republic by the Kiev authorities. The people there are suffering. All food supplies have been disrupted and all transportation routes have been blocked. We talked about that," the Russian deputy foreign minister went on to say.

"And, finally, there was an economic group of problems. There are many tasks linked to restoring the ruined infrastructure, reestablishing the banking system and renewing the payment of salaries, pensions and allowances," Karasin added.
