MOSCOW, July 9. /TASS/. The resolution of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE PA) is not only anti-Russian, it’s pro-Ukrainian, head of the Russian State Duma’s International Affairs Committee Alexey Pushkov has said.

"The resolution, which has been passed by the OSCE PA, is not only anti-Russian, it’s also pro-Ukrainian," he told a meeting of the working group on the legal analysis of legislative procedures and legal acts passed by Ukraine.

According to the Russian parliamentarian, "it’s important to see that the Western political institutions believe it’s their task to protect this odious, frustrated and semi-criminal Ukraine."

"It’s pointless to expect a change in the official stance on Ukraine on the part of the Western political mainstream," Pushkov said.

The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly earlier endorsed a resolution condemning Russia’s actions in Ukraine. The document proposed by Canada and Ukraine was supported by 96 members, 7 voted against and 32 abstained. The resolution will now become part of the Helsinki Declaration - a common document to be passed at the end of the annual session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
