Fighting breaks out in Mukachevo (Transcarpathian region)

11.07. 2015, Mukachevo, Western Ukraine

At the exit from Mukachevo in the area of Chervona Hirka exchange of fire occurred between the militants from the Right Sector, local businessmen guard forces and policemen.

According to the witnesses reports, unidentified persons used machine-guns and grenade launchers. Explosions had been heard.

The local residents could observe a cloud of black smoke from the embankment of the Latorytsya River. They also claim that an ambulance was fired at.

Controversy between MPs Viktor Baloha and Mykhailo Lanio is one of the probable causes of the incident.

Law-enforcement workers declared an interception agenda. There are no official comments as yet, however, from different sources reports come about five wounded and two dead as a result of the brawl.

Earlier the residents of the town observed the movement of a convoy of seven Jeeps with the Right Sector emblems carrying combat crews.

UPD Military arrived in the scene. Militants from “Donbass” battalion could be observed. As a result of the fire exchange three cars caught fire

No one was killed in the course of the Mukachevo clash, but the condition of the guard, who received a head wound, is very severe, reported executive chief surgeon of the Mukachevo town hospital.

The motor road leading to Svaliava is blocked. Rumors circulate among the policemen that four Right Sector vehicles broke through the block-post in Nyzhni Vorota and are moving towards Mukachevo. There is no official confirmation or disprove of the information.
