KIEV, September 4. /TASS/. State-run corporations under Arseniy Yatsenyuk’s premiership have cost Ukraine some 4.5 billion U.S. dollars, Odessa region governor Mikhail Saakashvili said in his video address posted on his Twitter account on Friday.
"Over the past year of this government and this prime minister, the loss incurred by Ukrainian state-run enterprises has exceeded 100 billion hryvnias, or 4.5 billion U.S. dollars. These enterprises really bring profit but they bring profit to oligarch. But they are loss-making for the Ukrainians, so people have to sponsor them from their pensions, public-sector employees - from their salaries, etc.," he said.
"Due to Kiev’s machinations and manipulations at the Odessa customs office, the state’s treasury has fall short of 400 million hryvnias (18.2 million U.S. dollars) a month," Saakashvili said, adding that if his region could have such a sum in its budget during two months, it could have completed the construction of the Odessa-Reni highway, which was of vital importance for the region and the entire Ukraine.
