84% of Crimeans are satisfied with their lives a year after the referendum - sociologists

Return CrimeaAttitude of the Crimeans to the results of the all-Crimean referendum on March 16 has not changed a year later, 84% of respondents are satisfied with the level of their lives, and 66% noticed improvement in the situation in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol. This was reported by the member of the advisory board of the Fund "Institute of Socio-Economic and Political Studies" (ISEPS) Alexey Zudin in comments to Kryminform, who presented in Simferopol the results of the study on the socio-economic and political self-awareness of Crimeans after reunification with Russia.

"The results are such that there is an impression that the survey was conducted a year ago - he concluded. - In regard to the attitude to the results of the referendum and to the basic things, the position of the Crimean people has not changed. In my opinion - this is a phenomenal result ".

Case study was conducted using a questionnaire in half of administrative units of Crimea - in 11 of 25 cities and 13 districts out of 14, as well as in federal city Sevastopol. There was also a qualitative case study conducted in four focus groups of 47 participants.

According to the study, the population of the Crimean Peninsula confirmed the decision of the referendum on the reunification with Russia. 84% of Crimeans are satisfied with their lives, 66% noticed improvement in the situation in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol. After one year, the vast majority of inhabitants of the peninsula supports the decision taken during the vote in the referendum. Activities of the federal government in Crimea is evaluated positively. The level of confidence in the President of the Russian Federation is at a record level - 87%.

Earlier, the General Director of JSC "ACSPO", vice president of the Union of Russian sociologists Valery Fyodorov presented similar results of the survey in Crimea, according to which 91% of Crimeans have rather positive attitude to the reunification of Crimea with Russian Federation, and 86% and 62% of the population of the peninsula are satisfied with their life and financial state, respectively.
