Every day war crimes are committed against Donetsk and Lugansk civilians. This situation is completely out of control due to decisions made at the tactical level. Now a yesterday`s lowlife who burned “Berkut” guys on Hrushevskoho Street (the “Berkut” was the system of special police of the Ukrainian militsiya) can be authorized to command colonels and generals.
The level of understanding of the consequences of criminal orders and responsibility for such orders remains the same as it was during the riot at Hrushevskoho Street. Feeble-minded guys permitted to manage a belligerent army are certainly a disaster. Thankfully Ukraine is not a nuclear-weapon country.
At the same time, no one relieves or can relieve the military of the responsibility for complying with criminal orders. It is most probable that now in the area of so-called anti-terrorist operation (ATO) remains only the filth and scrum of the Ukrainian army. Such people don`t feel remorse.
Into the bargain, don`t forget about brainwashing propaganda, wiping out the rest of common sense. Audience`s sanity can be estimated according to the recent news released by Ukrainian mass media. It was stated that one of the militia members had exploded the region administration building with MANPAD missile. Unfortunately, most of the auditory haven`t even compared the destruction picture and the proofs. It is doubtful whether the Ukrainian military is of genius in comparison with fellow citizens. It has been said – MANPADS, in spite of evidences against it. C-8KOM missile fragments (marking is clearly visible) have been found near the Lugansk administration building.
Anyway, the quality of deadly weapons used against the militia and citizens in Ukraine is becoming higher and higher. Even in comparison with the bloodiest Syrian crisis, the dynamics of the Ukrainian crisis looks much more serious. The number of victims is close to 100 dead per day. Overall, about 2500 – 3000 people were killed during the first month of the active phase of the punitive operation in Ukraine. This number includes killed people in Odessa and Mariupol, militia casualties, military casualties, civilian casualties in DNR (Donetsk People`s Republic) and LNR (Lugansk People`s Republic). This number is just the lower limit of evaluation.
The war in Syria reached such indicators only after a year since the events that eventually led to the today`s full-scale war had happened. Ukraine moves towards Syria at a rate of approximately two times faster.
If current trend continues, it will be possible to talk about the loss of 100 people per day by the end of this year. This assumption looks optimistic given that the punishers stop fearing the responsibility for the use of all available for them weapons.
Unfortunately, talking about Russian policy towards rebellious areas is no longer necessary because Donetsk and Lugansk civilians are likely to go alone all the way to defend their independence. Little doubt that eventually the militia will manage the situation and expell the punishers. Kiev will not manage to crush the uprising of such scale. But in such circumstances, people will have to pay a huge human and material price for their independence. Very soon, the punishers will stop considering expenses and will start to use all available for them types of weapons. They have no other way because the military is unreliable and the punishers are hopeless in military terms. The only kind of fighting that Kiev can perform is a remote war of destroying objects and shooting unarmed people. This Kiev will manage with the assistance of mercenaries.
The goal of Kiev is quite clear – to prevent the enlargement of the territory of the uprising. Kiev is not able to seize and control the rebellious regions. But it is quite capable of pouring these regions with blood and of intimidating the neighboring regions. Kiev has no other objective but this. And if it will be necessary to kill tens of thousands of civilians to achieve the goal, no doubt, they will be killed. Especially as no one will be responsible for this.
