Ditch that Ukrainian Boarder Guard so diligently digs on the border with Russia, in case of real invasion will be absolutely useless. Tank ditch diggings deplete human and material resources to no avail, - believe military experts.
On video one the Ukrainians, using special machinery, digs up a tank ditch in Sumy province. On the video two is shown how a tank, without a slightest effort gets over it by two methods.

This has been dome by this military machinery, 18-20 kilometres off here. We are planning to continue this work. I think in this region we will have done over 60 kilometres. In Glukhovsky district the same is being done by troops excavators. They dig maybe a little less than those digging machines, but nevertheless allow achieving the same results.
A local administrator:
This ditch will prevent penetration of armed people, tanks and armour vehicles from Russian territory. Neither smugglers, separatists, nor striking mobile groups, who usually move about by armoured carriers, jeeps and other vehicles, will be able to pass through.
A local native:
Let them dig if they want. They may not finish when it's all over. Of course I'm scared. I'm not afraid for myself, I can survive anywhere, - it's youth. No, I don't want to live there (in Russia), have been there a hundred times, used to, no. I want to live here.
