MOSCOW, April 28. /TASS/. The head of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) Igor Plotnitsky has described Tuesday as "fantasies" Ukrainian media reports about his alleged detention and resignation.

"Ukrainian media do not need facts, they are quite satisfied with fantasies which they try to present as reality," Plotnitsky said, commenting on yesterday’s reports in the Ukrainian media claiming that the LPR head was detained in Moscow and resigned.

"Nothing from what Ukrainian propagandists are talking about has anything in common with reality," Luhansk Inform Center quoted Plotnitsky as saying. "It looks like there is nothing positive left in Ukraine for [Ukrainian President Petro] Poroshenko’s propagandists to write about, so they have nothing left but to fantasize about my arrest and resignation," he added.

"I am currently in Luhansk, performing my duties," Plotnitsky stressed.
