KIEV (Sputnik) — Ukrainian authorities have introduced a ban on crossing the contact line in the country's eastern breakaway region of Lugansk due to increased fighting, military spokesman Andriy Lysenko said Thursday.
"Because of systematic provocations by militia and danger to civilians, movement across the contact line in Luпansk region is currently banned,” Lysenko told reporters.
According to the spokesman, the area is under “constant shelling.”
