Donetsk, June 26, the Donetsk News Agency
Ukrainian authorities did not comply with any of the commitments in regard to the special order of local government in Donbass, the DPR Head Aleksandr Zakharchenko claimed today.
“Kiev failed to comply with any of the commitments it undertook in Minsk in regard to the ceasefire regime as well as in regard to the local government in Donbass, and relevant Poroshenko’s statements are nothing but the next lie”, — the Head of state stressed.
“If regularizing in the constitution of the Law on Special Status adopted as early as in March is concerned, it would have to become only the first step on the way to the conflict settlement, and not the final one, — Zakharchenko added. — Poroshenko’s claims that that was his way of implementing the Minsk Agreement is an abortive attempt to conceal the blunt violation of this Agreement. Moreover, these alleged amendments and legislative initiatives were not agreed upon by our side”.
According to the DPR Head, “all that Kiev does – it is trying to refute the results of the legally held referendums and elections of state bodies, which had determined the truly representative of the people composition of the DPR and LPR authorities”, — Zakharchenko concluded.
A day before Poroshenko claimed in a TV interview that Kiev had complied with all the provisions of the Misnk Agreement in regard to the special order of local government in Donbass.
On June 25 the DPR and LPR submitted to Kiev the package of their suggestions in regard to this issue: the Draft Amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine, worked out by the DPR and LPR in accordance with the Minsk Agreement, the Draft Law of Ukraine on local elections in Donbass, and the Draft amendments to the 10th article of the Law on the Special Order of Local Government. Donetsk and Lugnsk emphasized that the new Kiev’s draft constitution violates the Minsk Agreement signed by this country.
