MOSCOW, July 9. /TASS/. Ukraine’s army has shelled the village of Solntsevo in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) some 70 kilometers south of Donetsk from Grad multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), DPR Defense Ministry spokesman Eduard Basurin said Thursday.

"The inhabited locality of Solntsevo came under the most intense fire," the Donetsk News Agency quoted Basurin as saying. "Fire was delivered from BM-21 Grad MLRS from the positions of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade under Grishchenko’s command."

He said fire was delivered from the locality of Granitnoye occupied by Ukrainian servicemen 16 km southwest of Solntsevo.

The head of administration of the city of Dokuchayevsk in the Donetsk Region, Yevgeny Bunyo, said a city resident got a fragmentation wound as a result of shelling on the part of Ukrainian troops.

"In the morning, the village of Yuzhny was shelled. A man was wounded by a fragment. He was taken to the city hospital," Bunyo said.

In the village, 25 residential buildings were completely or partially destroyed in the shelling. Ukrainian troops "fired from mortars and tank guns," the local authorities said.

On February 12, the Contact Group on settlement of the conflict in Donbass signed in Minsk the Package of Measures on implementation of the Minsk Agreements, and a ceasefire was announced from February 15 along the contact line.

Besides, in line with the document, cannon artillery with calibers of 100 millimeters and more was to be withdrawn from the disengagement line to a distance of 50 kilometers, and multiple launch rocket systems to 70-140 km depending on their firing range. The withdrawal was to have been completed by mid-March.
